THOUGHTS| Have Faith

Recently I had a conversation with a friend and it broke my heart to hear that they were not only questioning their faith but God's will.  So if "you" are reading this post, then I pray you are blessed by what God has given me to write.I also thank you for given me something to reflect on myself.  

Many times Christians are put in a position to wonder God's plan in our life, but thats where we have to have faith.  I admit I have struggled in this area many times. 

Hebrews 11:1 "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

My research gave me a simple example but relevent.  It uses the words "sure" and "certain" to describe faith.  Faith requires solid beginning and ending points.  We must first begin by believing that God is who he says he is.  The ending point is believing in God's word.

In Jeremiah 29:11 the bible says "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." For we dont know all and its God's purpose that we dont.  A common saying is that its not about the destination but the journey.  Our trials in enduring faith is the journey, and God's will is our destination.  Before questioning God's will, say to yourself, "what more can I do." Stay the course and rest on the will of God, to direct your path.  In times, I wonder where I stand, or if Im in the right direction I listen to the song below.  Be Blessed...

RTV | Identity

I have long been thinking on the idea of "Identity" and how it relates in life and in our spiritual walk.  Its not only who we think we are, but who we present on a day to day account.  I originally pondered on breaking this idea down one day while in my communications class, but I will save that for another time. LIFE | Catch up

It has long been overdue since the last time I made time to pound out my thoughts on this computer. I can honestly say that there has never been a day that did not move on to the next before I thought about, even made time for, to create a post.  Not to say that I have had nothing to do, because I have been quite busy. Obviously school has started and that just magnified my obligations to what appears at the max level. 

Even with that said, I set out to reflect my thoughts on your mind, in hopes what you present back to me is relativity and progression from the seed that was first in my mind. Im at a turning point, and that turning point is why I am here now, talking to you again. Hopefully you welcome me back with open arms and if they are not, mine will forever be open to you. Next post coming soon!!!

Life | Fathers Day

A little late but we all know "better late than never."  While at work I was watching a movie from way back called "A Goofy Movie."  For those that know me, I'm a kid at heart so the movie is right up my ally. The movie tells the story of father and son and a road trip that brings them together.  It got me thinking back on my father and the road of life I have shared with him. I am truly proud to be my fathers son.  Im the third generation of of the name passed down and its a legacy I'm proud of. Here is just a quick post reflecting back on how thankful I am to you dad. Always love you Chief...

Life: Quick Thought

I know it has been a while and I apologize. My mind has gone from a whopping 100 mph to a steady cruise. The hair pins are suddenly beginning to widen out into rounder curves, the pot hole filled road has began smoothing out. To put it frankly, my mind is changing and I believe its for the better.  Im seeing life  through a completely different lens and the images I'm snapping are defining my future ahead. Faith: Salvation

Salvation

Three things you must have
Faith 
Love 
Hope
Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; (Colossians 1:4, 5 KJV)

Salvation is not given by man only by God

Be holy for I am Holy.

What does "be" mean? It's a present word. "Should be"
become, became, be

How do you be Holy? Holiness should be a way of life that describes who you are.
By walking by his word that your steps will be pleasing in his sight

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: (Colossians 3:10 KJV)

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:23, 24 KJV)

Renewed Mind
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1, 2 KJV)

You must change in order for God to do something new in you.

Hide the word of God in your heart and apply it to your life
